English is Music.. I'm the DJ

I'm the Ugly Duckling

I'm an English language teacher who's really passionate about doing the job thoroughly and beautifully due to the perfectionist personality that I have.

HOWEVER, all promising job advertisements that I come across - in Arab Countries - are excluding me with one single word; "native".
I feel like I'm the black sheep or the ugly duckling here just because Arabic is my mother-tongue. It's a rather unjustified perspective since fluency and teaching skills can be tested in various ways.

Thus, by excluding native Arabic speakers beforehand, it is like passing a verdict without a trial. So, let me highlight some key points in this regard.

It's noteworthy that recent research found that there are more advantages to having a bilingual teacher.

First of all, bilingual individuals are better at multi-tasking as it has to do with how the brain functions.

Furthermore, they're more knowledgeable about the culture which consequently minimizes the occurrences of misunderstanding.

Last but not least, bilingual teachers can provide learners with English words equivalent to those of the students' mother-tongue in no time and thus enrich their vocabulary more smoothly.

Now, is it fair to be excluded?
